1. Get your ‘Posture & Stress Exam’
*There are 5 ways we determine whether you are a candidate for CBP® Corrective Chiropractic care:
- Detailed Health History
We are very thorough at the ICC. Chances are this will be the most intensive health check-up you will ever have!
We will initially have you fill out a couple forms to bring us up to speed on your health history and your current problem - if any [These will be available on this site – Simply print off, fill in, and bring in to save time]. Next we will ask you questions to clarify the information and add detail where we feel necessary.
- Orthopedic & Neurological Testing
Next we will perform about 50 standard medical orthopedic (joint) tests and neurological (nervous system) tests which tell us how involved your problem is and adds detail to your ‘clinical picture.’
- Spinal Assessment
We will perform an assessment of your spine and musculoskeletal system. This tells us which areas of the spine and posture may be affected and which muscles and tendons may be involved.
- Biotonix PosturePrint
Using the State-of-the-Art Biotonix system (endorsed by Mario Lemieux-NHL and Christine Boudrias-Canadian speed skater), we will assess your posture in three-dimensions. This aids us in developing your specific posture correcting program of care.

These are the 3 steps to get your custom posture report: 1. Digital posture pictures, 2. Computer digitization and analysis, 3. Custom report.
- X-ray Examination
Using our brand-new high frequency x-ray facility we may assess certain spinal regions for pathology. X-ray examination may be necessary to rule-out potentially serious health problems such as cancers, infections, etc. It may also be necessary to evaluate your spinal alignment in order to assess how you deviate compared to the normal spinal alignment. This also helps us determine your specific posture correcting program of care.
2. Report of Findings
After all testing procedures are completed you will need to return for your Report of Findings (ROF). The ROF is where we will review with you all of your exam results, Biotonix posture assessment, and any x-rays. Here we will describe to you if and how your postural deviations may be compromising your health. If we have determined that your problem(s) may be resulting from spine and postural misalignments, here is where we will provide you with a detailed plan to correct your spine, posture, and health.
3. Commit to Correcting your Problem(s)
Chances are you have already received some sort of treatment for your ailment(s) without success. In fact, the Medical Journal of Australia1 recently stated that most monotherapies (single therapies) including: analgesics (pain medications), NSAIDs (anti-inflammatories), muscle relaxants, antidepressants, physiotherapy, surgery, and manipulative therapy have either limited effectiveness or complete lack of success in treating for example, chronic low back pain!
By choosing CBP® Corrective Care you are putting the odds in your favour for several reasons:
- First, CBP® is a multi-modal treatment regimen, and does not fall into the ineffective ‘monotherapy’ trap. It incorporates many aspects into a typical treatment session, namely, exercise, adjusting and traction.
- Second, because of its all-encompassing nature, (exercise, adjusting, traction) all tissues of the spine and posture are targeted. Thus, it is like a shotgun approach to address potential problems within all the structures including the muscles, tendons, ligaments, intervertebral discs, internal organs, and most importantly, the bodies control centre, the nervous system.
- Third, CBP® is evidence-based. That is, there has been a clinical trial performed on your postural abnormality; therefore, depending on how deviated you are, the doctor can estimate how long it may be to correct the misalignment.
- Forth, CBP® is a long-term solution. Once a postural deviation is corrected, it is relatively safe from deviating back to a bad alignment for some time (years) – although we encourage you to be smart about preventing its reoccurrence through ergonomic education and common sense.
